TAC Split Second Competition

3D Character Campaign

We designed and created 8 characters for the The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) Split Second Competition.

In its sixth year, we helped to facilitate a major expansion to the competition, which has a greater focus on reaching culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.

BRAND CAMPAIGN

Australian creative agency, Taboo, and The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) have launched the sixth edition of their annual Split Second Competition, with entries open for young Victorian storytellers who want to save lives on our roads and launch their creative careers.

To date, the competition has had over 850 film concept submissions, produced six short films, and has helped kick start the careers of their creators – all while delivering powerful peer-to-peer road safety messaging.

PRE PRODUCTION

Designing the characters trying to cover a lot of demographics in a positive but non stereotypical way.

First we sketched them to get body shapes and silhouettes. Then we coloured them so we had a clear idea of the characters before moving into 3D modelling.
