We had so much fun animating these amazing illustrations by Spencer Gabor for Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. This bold new look for a traditionally conservative event was created to blow away the cobwebs of winter and get people out and about again for a good time.

We approached animating the illustrations using different techniques and frame rates, from 2D to hand drawn cel animation and also some sneaky 3D too.
